Relax, No Tiger Attack Happened in Brahmapuri. See the Facts
A video purportedly showing a tiger attack from Brahmapuri, Maharashtra, has gone viral online. However, there are no recent news reports of any human-animal conflict in Brahmapuri, and the video has been identified as AI-generated. Therefore, the claim is false.
Claim:
On November 8, 2025, a social media user on Instagram shared visuals of a tiger attack with a Malayalam caption that translates to: “CCTV footage of a tiger carrying a person away from the forest office (Brahmagiri Forest Guest House, Chandrapur District).”

The same user shared the video on Facebook.
Another user on X (formerly Twitter) posted the video on November 7, 2025, with a similar caption in Hindi, claiming that the incident took place in Brahmapuri, not Brahmagiri.
Here are the facts:
Following the viral claim circulating online, we conducted a keyword search using terms such as “Brahmagiri,” “Maharashtra,” “Tiger attack,” and “forest guest house.” We found no credible news reports suggesting that any such incident occurred at the Brahmagiri Forest guest house.
We then analyzed the video using the AI-detection tool Hive Moderation, which strongly indicated that the footage is AI-generated.

The Maharashtra Forest Department also issued a clarification on their official X account stating that the viral video is fake and confirming that no such incident has taken place.

The analysis reveals that the visual that claims to show a tiger attack at Brahmapuri in Chandarpur district of Maharashtra is AI-generated.
