Did Yemen Attack Israel Recently? No. Here Is The Fact Check
Several social media users shared a video that allegedly shows Yemen’s recent airstrike flattening a building in Israel. However, the video dates back to November 2024 and shows Israel’s airstrike in Beirut. Therefore, the viral claim is false.
Claim:
A social media user from Facebook shared a video on October 20, 2025, with a Malayalam caption that translates to,“There lies Israel’s next building(sic).” The Malayalam text on the video translates to, “Israel’s next grave lies Yemen’s hypersonic missile power (sic).”

We noticed that a user initially shared the viral video on September 6, 2025, on Facebook and Instagram.
Here are the facts:
On analysing the viral claim, we couldn’t find any credible news reports suggesting that Yemen recently targeted Israel with an airstrike. Further, we analysed the keyframes of the viral video and found a X (formerly Twitter) post dated November 15, 2024, carrying a clearer video similar to the viral one. The Arabic caption of the video translates to,”Raid on Tayouneh (sic),” suggesting that the video shows an airstrike in Tayouneh, Beirut, Lebanon.
We compared the keyframes and noticed that the viral video is a mirrored version.

Keyframe comparison of the viral video and the X post from November 15, 2024.
A keyword search using relevant keywords such as “Tayouneh,” “Beirut,” and “airstrike” took us to an Associated Press (AP) report from November 15, 2024. According to the report, an Israeli airstrike descended on a multi-story apartment building in Tayouneh, Beirut, Lebanon, flattening it. The Israeli army alleged that the building contained facilities belonging to Hezbollah, a Lebanese Shia Islamist political party and paramilitary group.

Other media outlets, such as The Guardian and Al Jazeera, also reported the incident.
We also geolocated the viral video, clarifying that the video is from Lebanon and not from Israel.

Geolocation of the viral video.
The analysis of the viral video states that the viral video shows an Israeli airstrike in Beirut on November 15, 2025, and the claim that it shows a recent Yemeni airstrike in Israel is therefore false.
